New go fast bits

Just got the front coil-over bits for the race car.

Off to the garage!

Looks good.

I've been looking at their stuff for m E30 BMW.

Just curious, why not go with RSR struts and something like JRZs, Penske Racing, Motons, Custom valved Bilsteins or Ledas, etc...

Appologies if I missed an earlier thread on the subject.

Jason,

You didn't miss anything. RSR Struts with threaded bodies and all the goodies cost a bunch of money. THe Ground Control setup is $299

My existing Bilsteins have custom valving, raised spindles and some other modifications that I did...

Now if I could find a set with proper valving for less than $5-600... I'd have bitten, but I see them going for several G's.

Im really interested in seeing how the bottom sleeve goes over the strut, pictures would be excellent.

I'll post some pics when it's done.

It's really quite simple to mount them. A weld-ring is placed over the strut and acts as a support. THere is another way to do this without weldng where the sleeve fits over the strut and "hangs" off the top.

I can get these custom built if anyone is interested.

Yes, Please do post pictures. I have some of the same sleeves from my ITA days that I was thinking of using too. The only possible issue is tire clearence from using 2.5 inch springs vs 2.25 inch springs.

SCCA. It's close, but with turbo flares and slightly less wheel backspace, I have just enough room to account for tire deflection...
