March 14 at Willow Springs with OTR

I predict it's going to be 65 degrees and sunny. Anyone else itching for some high speed fun? The way they do the pricing now means it's cheaper if you sign up before the end of February.

(Someone's got me parked in, there.)

Let's not let this one slip by too! If you are going to go, please sign up ASAP!

Let's not have this one cancelled like last month's ACRA due to lack of interest!!!

Man I hate knowing that I won't be able to make this one. At least I will be at SOW on March 28th, Laguna Seca on April 9th and then I should be on track to make the OTR events for the rest of the year. And I will have my roll bar and harness in by then!
You guys have fun and be safe!

will be in Quantico, VA. But doing one of the STS events running the infield course at CA Speedway. Can't do both as Monday I fly out for Houston, come back then turn around and head to Malaysia. Figure two track days right before is a bit too much....not as young as i used to be.

I got the day off and I'll be there with the 996 (I haven't paid yet but I will very soon).

Jack, you've driven the car and showed me what she could do, which was a huge benefit for me, but now I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind sitting right seat and giving me some good instruction. I would certainly appreciate it.

I'LL TRY AND MAKE IT! Ive missed a few already and need to catch up. Being engaged makes it difficult when you figure out all the expenses for the wedding, 2 new cars I bought, and a new business. Life was so easy last year

Today is the last day to sign up at the early-bird rate of $145. If you're thinking about it, you can save enough money for a quarter-tank of race gas.

Jack, not having run with OTR before, I checked out their website and noticed that they are basically the same, procedures-wise, as ACR. However, I noted that their website says that during the lead-follow all drivers will be joined by an instructor. Is this true? I can't imagine there would be enough instructors just sitting around doing nothing and therefore available for a slow lead-follow session.

Also, would you mind (pretty please) giving me some instruction early on in the day? You've driven the car with me in it a few track days back and it was an eye opener for me (and really helped me tremendously). However, it seems that a little coaching by you while I'm driving might also be very beneficial also.

Absolutely, Scott. I look forward to it.

The ducks-in-a-row exercise is done the same way in both groups.

The event is exactly the same! OTR sometimes has a few more participants... Except this time... As of yesterday, we only have 8 people signed up.

hi there,
I'd like to be part of this, but this is my problem; I'm planning on driving my stock SC but a few days ago I realized that the seatbelt receptacle (passenger side) will not lock for some reason, therefore I can't have anybody in the passenger seat. Will showing up with the car like this be a waste of time? Will I be able to run w/o an instructor?
Thanks,

You don't have to have anyone ride with you. First session in Yellow Group is "duck's in a row," taking turns following an instructor around the track. It's not required for an instructor to ride along. Jack should chime in on this one, but I would think you are OK as long as you take no passengers!
You could always just bring out "the Beast!"

You very well probably will keep up with those crap Yoko AVS ES 100's I have. I'm working OT to save up for some 18's with excellent and much bigger rubber out there (probably 225 front/285 back. Right now I've got 205/255).
