I really have no knowledge to set it up from the starting point, let alone set up for different tracks. I will get on the phone with Steve@rennsport again tomorrow hopefully I can get the order settled.
After reading the rest of this thread, that's probably a good idea!

Thanks guys! Awesome discussion. The more I research, the more I am afraid. I should probably just get a simple set up and save the headaches.

In my humble opinion, when go to a trackday the drivers with lots of bells and whistles on their cars isn't the fastest...
With limited driving time and experience I think one setting is enough.

And as Winders said, high/low speed compression has nothing to do with the speed of the corner.

I recently got my hands on a 87 G50 and in the process of rebuilding the suspension for track duties. The car will be used on the track whenever I have a chance; it will be used on the street as well during the weekend and such.

I have 2 options in mind, one is JRZ race double adjustable and the other one is RSR Bilsteins custom valved. the price difference between both set ups is $4500. I can afford the difference in price, but having a hard time justify it.

For guys with JRZ set up, would you guys say they worth the extra money? What are your experiences with JRZ shocks compare to RSR shocks or bilstein shocks in general?

I am a novice and have about a dozen track days under my belt. Will I be able to use the JRZs to their protential at my skill level?

The car will have matching torsion bars for either shop ,camber plates, front and rear bushings, bump steer kit, sways, big brakes, rear bolt in roll bar, 8" and9" fuchs on r-compounds.

Thanks a lot guys!
Back to the OP:

1. They ARE worth it if you use them, which means adjusting the shocks at every different track including adjusting for temps conditions...

2. Custom valving will match the shock for spring rate, the JRZs will just add adjustability.

3. I have revalved Bilsteins on my 964s they have worked well for a long time with little maintenance, my motons have had several thousand in maintenance. They do not have the same scrapers and covers that a street car shock (Bilsteins) has.

4. Unless you spend the time to test and tune you will not set the benefit of the money spent on JRZs.

5. As a novice $4500 in coaching will produce lower lap times than shocks ever will...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have went ahead ordered custom valved RSR Bilstein and matching torsion bars from Steve@rennsport. Money saved from JRZs is getting me a set of 930 brakes i will most likely need.

I think you made a right decision to go with Bilsteins. I noticed on the JRZ front struts the diameter of the shaft is much smaller than Bilstein. So the JRZ may wear out quicker than Bilstein. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys. Maybe it's not an issue.
