Cayenne Diesel glow plug light

My glow plug light has come on now three times. First when car was only a few days old. Then again a few months latter and then just lst week. Now have 14000 miles. Always happens at about the same place on a highway south of Springfield, MO going up hill with cruise control on. Goes to limp mode. We pull off the road turn off the eng. then restart and on our way. There are no OBD codes. Anyone have any ideas?
