914 tranny into rear engine baja
I have a coplete 914 in my garage, i was wondering if i could use the tranny to be a rear mount instead of a mid mount?
Also is there any thing else i should consider using besides the rear disc brakes and engine? what about the fron discs? thanks, Aaron |

The tranny for the 914 runs in the opposite direction as the mide engined cars.
You can "Flip the differential" so that it runs 911 style, but this involves removing the gear stack and the differential. James

If your baja is for off-road, I would advise against using the 901/914 series transmission. You would be better off with a VW Type II.
