Lukes Shoreman built Thing?
Hey guys/gals, bought a '74 Thing Oct. before last, and I'm trying to see if I can find the guy that built it, see if he has any old school pics, and or any info on the motor for me.
Anyways, what I know of the car is this, '74 Thing, with a 2.0L 914 that ain't stock, the motor is stamped Fish L?. Other Porsche bits include 944 seats, the tin on the engine is all custom with a 911 style alt/fan. Had a rgb swing trans installed with an old School John Johnson No-Hop kit. Like I said. Just trying to find the builder/ old owner, he was believed to be an employee of Luke & Shoreman back in the day(80's-90's). Any info would help. Here's some pics if anyone recognizes it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a quick one of me out playing on Cow Mountain: ![]() |

I might have some more pics, yeah!

Figured He's gotta be around somewhere, and it would be great to have some old school pics/stories of offroad adventures. I bought the Thing off a guy out in Stockton who had it for a few years....
