Just read the build cover to cover. Only glanced at it until now. Great build and documentation!

Can't wait to start my 993 conversion!

Nash_TDI, are you putting a 3.6 in a 911 or an LS in a 993?

Haha, neither. Converting a 993 to diesel. Don't worry it won't be slow either.

What motor? And are you sure that's a good idea? 993 prices are on the rise...

Just sayin'

Don't want to clog your thread, when my project gets some steam I will post a thread.

My car is a little rough. I couldn't bring myself to do it to a clean running 993.

Motor of choice. 3.0L TDI best numbers out of one so far are 420hp and 600ft/lb

Perfect.

Any idea how much that motor weighs? I'd also check the dimensions. I measured a Coyote motor and I figured it to be too large because the twin overhead cams. I know nothing about that motor but I assume it's a quadcam.

Another one of the reasons I was so attracted to your thread. All the info in it. From research the motors the weights are very comparable. The motor is fairly rare especially in the aftermarket sector.

I mocked up a 2.7T Audi gas motor that theoretically is the same dimensions.

Congratulations on a Beautiful Job Hal

Hal - Very nice, what a Car, what an inspiration, one of the best on here.
I'm still pushing mine, getting closer, inch by inch. You certainly took us all to school.
Thanks for sharing.
