Hello Pelicans,
I'll be entering the market for a 911 next summer and have been planning out possible projects. I've done a few searches but haven't really come across any solid information (if you have links, please provide them). My main goal is to have a reliable daily driver that I can take on occasional track days. Now, what would be the best route in terms of bang-for-buck while still keeping parts strictly Porsche (no LS V8's and the like) to achieve this? 1) Would it be best to start off with a 964, 3.2 carrera, or SC? 2) Would it be better to find a clean driver and build it or find a nice 3.2/SC shell and swap in a 993 3.6L? 3) What costs are involved with a 993 swap into a 3.2 Carrera or an SC? Is this a DIY project or is professional work required? If you have any other suggestions, please state them! I'm an open book and am trying to learn as much as I can about these cars before I make my purchase next summer. Thanks in advance! Last edited by kayodoc; 11-12-2014 at 10:30 AM.. |
