Adam uttered to me a year ago, when I asked him if he had any clues to help me sell my 69 911E -- I can't help you. I love 911's, but 356's are more profitable!

Just to clarify some things with facts before too many assumptions are made...

If you remember a couple of pages back I purchased the car from Matt. It arrived last week and after taking into account the toll of a full project like this I decided it was more than I can handle at this time.

Josh is a good friend of mine and he helped me pull the motor today and get the car in roller status to try and recoup some of my money. We went over the car together briefly and he offered to help me sell the chassis as a roller casually on Facebook.

He assumed it was a clean title and it was an honest mistake. We are not trying to sell the car as a clean title.

There is nothing nefarious going on here and will update the ad accordingly.

Robert knows this is a rebuilt from salvage title. I don’t think he’s trying to wash it or anything else funky. His friend just didn’t know.

I'd love to know the math on how paying over $20k and then selling the roller with fuchs for $10k isn't putting someone in the hole?

You don’t think a core 3.2, a 915, a set of sport seats, and a pile of other parts isn’t worth $10k?

I’d take that list of parts for 10k everyday.

Yeah, but you guys are missing the larger point. No one buys a car, ties up the money, ships a car across the country, to break even. There are easier ways to make a little bit of money like that, try T-Bonds.

When someone buys a project, intending to build it, and bails, the only goal becomes breaking even.

Sorry, I thought flipping it was his plan all along, didn't realize he got cold feet on the car. Yes, in that sense if you can get our alive, more power to you.

After I took about a $6000 scalping on the car, I really hope he managed to break even. I didn’t.

I guess it depends how much more than $20k he paid and the condition of the other items listed. I hate dealing with selling individual parts, so that sounds like misery to me to make maybe a couple of grand.
