				Fuchs - sell or not?

I realize that cars without original Fuchs are sometimes seen by prospective buyers as lacking important OEM items. But, what about when your car has Lindsey Fuchs? I'll be getting my Lindsey's in a couple weeks and I'm wondering if I should hold onto the original Fuchs or sell them to offset the cost of the Lindseys. Thanks. | ||

It really depends on how the rest of the car has been improved/updated/modified. If you have a bone stock 1972 T it would be different than a 1980 SC Coupe with 3.6l roll cage and flares. Are Lindseys original - no. And if someone is looking for original wheels it WILL effect resale value. But, I think most folks who run Lindseys have done tasteful other improvements, the wheels would be considered an upgrade.

It's a 1989 3.2 with tasteful improvements. The few modifications I have made have been cosmetic and I always keep the original item in storage.

If they were early deep 6's, or another component that is difficult to find, hold on to it just in case. But ?16x6,7's? won't be that difficult to replace, if the next owner wishes.

I hang onto everything, they'er never going down in value and unless you really need the money I always think its worth hanging onto them.

I would side on keeping them. I am soon going to do the same, and get some 17 Lindseys. I am only holding on to them because they have been refinished two years ago and are perfect.

After doing a few upgrades to my '88 Coupe, and retaining all of the original parts, the buyer was only interested in it if it was returned to stock. I removed 7's&9's Fuchs, Fabspeed, SWchip, quick release steering wheel setup, etc. and sold it. Unless money is tight, keep all the stock stuff, IMO.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'll keep them. Can't wait to get my Lindsey's!
