1968 Soft Window Targa Value help

Looking into a 1968 Soft Window Targa 912 and I would like to know what the current values are ranging.

Car is an older restoration with a fresh <2000 miles ago trans and engine rebuild. Everything else seems complete and correct. Probably an 8 or 9 out of 10.

I know it's hard to determine without seeing the car, just looking for ball park figures.

What does Excellence's last Market Value Report say?

Thanks,

Mark

Well, the market is rising, being dragged up by the 911 values. However the market probably isn't high enough to support a lot of the restorations that are happening. I've seen quite a few brokers speculating that the values are rising up to $30K, and they aren't there yet.

If the car is the one I think.... it appears pretty nice, but because so few cars get sold, a value is hard to place on them. You get too high and then you might as well get a 911.

I wouldn't pay more than $20K for the car. PM me if you like regarding the car and the seller.

Eric

I seem to remember RetroTech had one that sat for quite a while last year for around $18k ( I think). So I think <$20k is a good target.

This is tough. A nice car a top car could easily be worth $30k.
