66 911 Circuit Paul Ricard - Any Info / Value?
Forum newbie here.
I have a 66 911 (that actually says 67 on the title) that I've had for about fifteen years. The front fenders were replaced with fglass in roughly 1993. Everything else with the car seems original - motor, weber carbs, tranny, etc. I parked the car about six years ago before my son was born and sadly haven't driven it since. I drove it to the garage, put it on roller skates and tucked in the corner. I brought the car from Minnesota to Atlanta with the idea I would begin a restoration project when I relocated. As fate would have it, the move is off and my time to restore is non-existent. First question, the glove box has a little plaque that says "Circuit Paul Ricard." I know of the track in France, but does this mean anything as far as the car's history? A couple of people who have ridden in the car reacted to the plate, but not with any depth of knowledge. Secondly, what is the car worth in it's current condition? I brought it to VMR Restoration in Atlanta and had Ray take a look. He said it's a category3 car as it sits. There is some rust, to be expected in the usual places, but he said it's a good candidate to be a daily driver or could go back to concours condition with some love ($) and attention. Any info, interest, or insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Take this to the early S registry. There are a number of members who are very knowledgeable to the values of a 66. Here is a recent thread.
My Garage Find 1966 911 302980 - Early 911S Registry Bulletin Board There is value.

Thank you very much! I didn't know this group existed and really appreciate the tip. Still curious if anyone has any info on the Paul Ricard and if that means anything.
Thanks again. |

Post a photo of the plaque...
A PO probably visited France and picked up the plaque while visiting the circuit, thought it looked cool and stuck it on his dash. This car 1967 911 Vintage Race Car had a bunch of dash plaques from circuits the original owner had visited and/or raced at, I imagine your car is similar. Cheers d. |

Plaques were quite popular back in the day and no doubt a momento from a previous owner. In the days of expensive phots/slides and no internet, what better way to document auto related achievements than with a dash or grill plaque!
