Real wheels...

There's something about the rear wheels...either the body is too long for the wheel base or the wheel base is too short for the body...the rear wheels do not appear centered in their openings. Could be the camera angle or viewing through a smokey cloud. or I'm just not that familiar with very early 911's. Any thoughts? Great body work BTW.

There is clearly something wrong with the rear. I agree the wheels don't center correctly in the rear. The ride hight is set at Paris Dakar rally hight too. The body itself is a hodge podge of parts from various years and aftermarket without a straight gap or panel on the entire body.

It is a short wheel base car with long wheel base rear fenders.
This car was most likely built when the cheapest 911 was a SWB and many were used as a base for body work by dreamers.

When that car first appeared months ago, I sent an offer for $11K. I think that's all the money. The car is what the old timers call a "bitsa." Bitsa this; bitsa that.

Love the chrome wheels coupled with the RS look. Definitely a bitsa.

If it had the original engine it would be worth some cash, even with the hacked up body. But with a 3.2 swap? Yeah...

Seller must have read the comments here, the auction was ended early. Or maybe someone hit the 'buy it now' price.
