This is something that started being offered as a trim package in 1970, IIRC. Here in the States a lot of T's in that date range were spec'd with that S package.

A 73.5 T is not particularly rare and is highly desired by some and shunned by others (in favor of MFI).

I think you'll find that in terms of sales histories, the CIS cars bring just a bit more money.

73.5 Targas can go from high teens up to high $40s, depending on a very long list of factors.

Oh, and it's nearly impossible to find one without the S trim.

Here is my 1973.5T (CIS) with "S" trim in Sepia Brown. The wheel well chrome trim can still be had at the dealer for over $100 per wheel well, which I think adds much to the line and appearance. Still have the hand painted wheel (fuchs) cap inserts.

The 1973.5T came with 2.4L and CIS. If the Targa has a 2.7 then it was installed later.

Or, it could have been rebuilt with genuine RS P&Cs, which were readily available 10-15 years ago when many of these cars had their engines rebuilt for the first time.

That's the timing decal. Get the numbers off the alternator stand. They don't lie...

ViINand Engine number solves it.

Engine number will start with the # 6 (below that fan/Alt thingy lower right side pillar)
