Good question but in my case I do not care....... live where the car would never be inspected!

While I am a big fan of the first series turbos this car IMO is just as cool......

Still active bidding....US $23,322.00 (assuming you transposed) which IMO was a little light. In a world of $125,000 77 turbos in need of restoration. This is easily a $30,000 car.

Funny, but it doesn't display on my screen like Peru Red.

I LOVE Peru Red

Here's a Peru car I caught at Rennsport...

I agree Marcroni. That IS stunning!

High milage - most would not say that if it were a 3 year older longhood. It is a 37 year old car. Relatively low mls imo.

What I dont like is the paint lift. Ask me how I know. Many 76 cars suffer from this. Only two options. Patch and paint or bare metal respray.

Has later Carrera air vents?

wow.... Please post a picture of your car it must be amazing.....

Do I care about service records.... not really
do I care about the radio...... not really..... do I care that the paint is possibly a shade off..... or the reactors are not installed..... not really. Fact; every Porsche I have bought has been based upon my judgment w/o a PPI.

I look at this car and see its potential..... I consider myself a relatively savvy enthusiast. This car represents in my book some of the best qualities Porsche has to offer..... Are there better cars out there....of course. Who would not want to see this car in its limited C3 euro form.

Here is my latest "Moses"..... pure hotrod.

83SC I just sold... Mild updates...

Here is the 69S I did.... mild updates... Non factory interior.
Saving a 69S.

Purchased in boxes and on pallets...

Showing at Dana Point.....

And of course Stitch..... 100% modded hotrod.....

Metamorphosis complete: Welcome home!

as purchased from Speedo...

Rallying in New England...

If you google Peru Red 911 you will see this color takes on all kinds of shades, and if you know anything about lighting and photography, you know colors have spectrum on film. This color is dead on, and the trunk, door jams, engine compartment etc, are all original and match the exterior seamlessly.

Cars pass CA smog all the time with no thermos. In fact, I don't remember the last time I saw a 76/77 with them still on. I just thought it was cool the car still had the set saved. Most are long gone.

77 Was the first year for center air vents, dash is original.

Pretty sure I didn't advertise the radio or wheels were original in the first place...

Thx for the positive feedback, Macroni, some others just can't enjoy anything. I think the car is really cool and you should see it going down the freeway! Simple and sweet.

Yes, every who knows me will tell you that is exactly what I am........
The beauty of independence is you get to say what you feel without fear of consequence....

Again, post your cars or projects I would love to see what you have created.......

The amazing quality is the simplicity...... which was Porsche's credo....

BTW: if a perfect car is what you are after, I have one of the nicest 74 Carreras in existence with 23K documented miles. It has it's original radio, and even the unused, optional microphone. I won't be selling it until next year, possibly auctioning it in Monterey 2015....but it will cost you closer to $200K.

Thanks man, I'll consider it, but these are the right vents for 77, so for now, I will stick with my reserve, which is higher than $30K, LOL...

I don't know which is worse, the trolling or dumping an ad for an upcoming sale right in the middle of the discussion. shakeyhead
