Thoughts on the value of the 996 gt2?

I'm just wondering what a fair price is for a 996-gt2. I have a lead on one for $80k with 50k-miles. Thoughts?

Also, anyone know a good shop to get a ppi in north-west Houston?

That seems to be the low end of the asking price range, currently. Many variables, but $80K gives you a lot of car for the money.

IMO, they are a good bet for holding or increasing value in the medium term.

that seems on the lower end, is it all original or is it modified? how ever all 996s generation cars seem to still be falling in price, I would have thought that they hit the price bottom back while we were in the middle of the recession, but they never really rebounded.

as for PPI why not have a local dealer do it?

I had a hard time finding comps out there when I decided to list this one: 2003 996 GT2 - 1 of only 90 produced in 2003

I decided to put what I deemed a fair price on it and see what happens.
