The real question is how much government subsidies can they get.

I'm glad someone found a way to freshen the front end of a 79 Corvette.

The production version will most likely start under $100k, Porsche's answer to the Model S.

The electric motors will probably be front and back, if I was to guess. The Panamera should have looked like this.

For sure.

I would bet they can't get it to market for under 100K in the USA. It is good looking and should sell a lot.

EVs are going to work for more, and more, lifestyles and get better all the time. Soon electric will be the choice of 1/3 of car buyers.

Which also means gasoline will continue to be available for the foreseeable future.

Good link - what an impressive car.

Now, if they took this concept, and applied to a simple 2 seat sports car, a modern electric no-frills 550 spyder...that would be very very cool.

If it's in the $80k-$110k range (similar to the Tesla Model S) I'd consider biting. I suspect it'll be well north of $150k however.

This thread was started when the Taycan was a concept.
Now, there is a $ 79,000 rear wheel drive version, not a bad deal for a beautiful Porsche
I can't wait for the electric 911
