Why is everybody so impressed with the 165kg weight figure? that's the minimum weight required to race in WSBK. Apparantly the street version will weigh 204kg's wet...

No mentioning of a "third" cam. The cylinder head is similar in design to the K-series (so with cam followers) but the dimensions of the parts are so small they have almost F1 dimensions.

Actually the ABS on the 1000RR will have 4 modes and is completely new and BMW says it will set standards so it will probably be as good as the Honda C-ABS...but we have to wait and see off course....

jduke...the HP2S has a dry weight of 392 lbs and that's with Telelever and Paralever. The Ducati 1098 weighs some 381 lbs, so much weight difference isn't there. BMW really squeeshed everything out...

Just an idea...if Motoczysz uses two counterrotating cranks couldn't a Boxer benefit from the same "trick"? Offcourse not talking aerodynamics, costs, etc. here...
