How does one rotate the engine in a 996 by hand? I assume a socket on the alt nut and rotate clock wise. I want to scope the cylinders.

After looking over the wiring diagram, I see a switch must be activated. Switch is located in the locking latch. Just stick your finger in the hole and hold it down and depress the window switch.
