clcrk3,

I hope you have done “due diligence” and searched all the forums. You will find a LOT of information.

Good luck,
Grady

Do a search for "motor meister" on this site. Or you could search for "motor sheister". That would undoubtedly get you a few hits as well.

I have never done business with MM but I think it's amazing that a company that has pissed off so many people is still in business. I think an effective approach to get your revenge (justice?) would be to somehow get Excellence, Panorama, and Velocity to quit running their ads.

Excellence doesn't advertise them any longer (I believe).

They even claim that their top guy has 20+ years of experience. If he hasn't grasped the concept by now he never will.

Well, I must say though I haven't had any dealings with them so I can't say first hand. The problem is that they are cheap and some people here are running their cars on a tight budget. Not to down anyone. I have a budget too on these otherwise I'd be divorced and broke. Not to down anyone there either.... Their prices are just tempting.

I'd bet a paycheck you don't get back the same parts you gave them.
hypothetically speaking of course

Why are they still in biz; more than a few old Porsches around, and they put out some unbelievably low prices. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't, as the saying goes.

MM has to be the worst business I have ever dealt with. I just odered a simple transmission rebuild and gasket kit. I needed it in a hurry so I overnighted it. I ordered it on a wed. morning and they told me they would ship it out the same day and I would have it on thurs. Thursday evening rolls around and no parts so I call them to see if they had shipped it out the previous day and the lady says she forgot and she would go ship it right away. Yeah, BS! I didn't get my parts for three weeks, and they even went so far as to give me a tracking numbers that were bogus twice when they hadn't even shipped out my parts. Then they wouldn't refund my 30 bucks overnight fee and there's nothing for me to do about it. Never again...

Oh Man...I do feel for you...

Is there any way to get any monies that you've given MM back????

Do what ever you need to do to get out of the deal as fast as you can. Lie, cheat, steal, cry, scream, tell them your Uncle's last name is Corleone etc....but get out of the deal.....

Call them up and have them ship your motor and all the parts back to you. RIGHT NOW. You will never save the money you think you will with those guys. I betcha Henry (Henry Shmidt on this list) can build a motor the about the same price as you would actually end up paying to MM. MM only "got" me a little but the world is full of people who sent their motors in for $3500 rebuilds and paid $10K for the crap they got back. If they are lucky the motor runs good and they are ignorant of how they were taken.
They are very smooth and good at getting your confidence. This is where the phase "con(fidence) man" comes from.
