Looking for a 3.2 Fuel Diagram for my engine swap.
Could someone please post a fuel flow diagram for the 84-89 Carrera? I am plumbing in the fuel system for my engine swap and my search skills are weak. All I come up with are wiring diagrams which are good because I need those too, but I need fuel flow from tank all the way back.
Mucho grassio! ![]()

Don,
The one you posted above is for your ’72 MFI that I did a few years ago (those are my arrows and you should include the ©PAG ) With your conversion it would be wise to relocate the fuel pump to the front like the DME. Here are the diagrams for DME. “ ![]() © Dr. –Ing. h.c. F. Porsche A.G. „ ![]() © Dr. –Ing. h.c. F. Porsche A.G. E-mail me at gradyclay@hotmail.com (I don’t use PM) if you want high-res images. Your challenge is to do the conversion and: 1) Make it appear as original. 2) Not damage or modify your original ’72 stuff (you may want to revert to original or MFI someday.) 3) Maintain it serviceable with complete wiring and fuel diagrams, specific for your 911.“Personal Car Specific Manual” 4) Have as few custom parts or adaptors as possible. Keep as much as possible identified by a Porsche part number. As an example, have your ’84-> relay panel modified (if necessary) to adapt to the ’72 chassis and retain your ’72 relay panel in original condition. Another is to use fuel lines that are ’84 and try and have few adapters. With careful research and scouring salvaged 911s and 930s, you probably can find intervening (’73-’89) parts for the conversion. Of course the DME wiring, computer, etc are a separate parts that you can install under the front seat. Do that exactly as a '84 withour damaging the car. You will want to make a new small wiring harness to connect the DME to the chassis using all the proper color-code wires and connectors. Conversions done properly enhance the value of your 911. Retaining the ability to return to original, even more so. Best, Grady |
