Another RSR Clone Project Update - 11

I've been making slow but steady progress since my last update and figured it was time to post another one. Since my last post, I've installed all the windows, seats, oil cooling system and have completed most of the engine rebuild. Here's some photos.

Oil Cooling
The photos show the RSR panel indent before the cooler installation and then the Setrab 150 cooler purchased from Elephant Racing. I routed the Aeroquip hoses through the front fender panel as was done on the original RSR. The hard lines were purchased from GAD in Atlanta used as was the thermostat. Elephant supplied the thermo to tank and thermo to engine lines. The tank was lenghtened and baffled by Fabcar,

The car itself is mostly complete. Only the fuel pump and rear deck grill need to be installed.

The engine long block is complete. Recall it's a twin plug, 3.0 SC with RSR P&C's from Andial, DC-60 cam from Camgrinder, RSR headers that will use a ralley style muffler and PMO carbs. The assembly measurements gave 10.5:1 CR just where I had targeted the engine.

I'm hoping to have the car running sometime during August.

I'm liable to lose my dislike of orange & yellow, if you guys don't stop doing such a beautiful job on those cars.

Are those lines and T'stat new? If not, how did you get them so clean?

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!

How tight is the fit between your oil cooler and the front bumper? Is that the reason it is tipped on an angle? Your front bumper is small, I believe, as is my early RSR style bumper. I believe I have the same cooler, but mounted it vertically. I had space issues and ended up changing the mounts, cutting some of the FG inside the bumper, etc. Your install looks very clean!! I like it better than mine. Do you have any shots of the AN lines inside of the trunk?

Thanks for sharing, awesome car!!

Doug
