Pelicaners,
Help me out, what is the best cross over type seat for daily use and occassional, monthly AX use? Cost is not the only issue but something I must consider on an Army salary.

If your car is a daily driver, i'd consider a seat like the Recaro Speed/SRD, Sparco Torino, Cobra Daytona, Corbeau, etc. I had the Recaro SRD and it was very comfortable and worked perfectly with 6 point harnesses. The only thing I didn't like is the seat bottom was not long enough (front to back) to give me good support underneath my legs in the area just above the knee. I have rather long legs, so other people may not have this problem.
The first three mentioned are a little expensive, but with the right sliders they'll bolt right into your car. When you go with a true racing shell, the width of the base is much narrower and you have to used some bracketing to fit the seat to the mounting rails in the car.

No issue of height in my cab. They definitely sit lower than stock. If you did a direct mount of the seat to the floor that would also help!

Cool! And did you need to order the brackets, too or can you use the Porsche sliders?

The bolt pattern on the Hunsakers is narrower than factory. A wider base mount is needed.

Excellent! And I see from your referenced post that we are the same height and weight (6'3" @200lbs) so they should fit me just fine.
