random mis-fires
On my 1.8 liter A4 I'm getting random misfire faults and it's clearly missing big time. I've replaced the coil packs and still it happens.. Think it's the ECU ??
Any ideas ??

It's the ignition module gone bad. Common problem. It's located on top of your airbox right under the plastic cover. I purchased mine on ebay for about $50, brand name is "Hugo". Car has been running fine since, 50K miles since replacement. Also, I wouldn't recommend driving the car with it misfiring etc.

there's no ignition module on a 2001.. Looks like it's the fuel pressure.. took a reading yesterday.. way low...
