Just a heads up for all Pelicans- We recently had a 1988 Carrera Cabriolet "Ferry Porsche" edition in our shop. It was fairly rough, and had failed rings in cylinder #3. The cylinder bore was trashed. The customer declined the repairs. We got it running on 6 cylinders again, but it smoked fairly heavily on extended idling. I believe it was sold to one of the "Big Flippers". I just hope who ever buys it knows it needs a top end overhaul (at minimum). It also needed body and paint work- it had 2 sizable dents in the hood from something falling on it. She needed convertible top work, odometer repair and A/C work as well.
It left our shop on a transporter. Let's keep an eye out for it, wherever it resurfaces.
