Just read two days ago in the book FOOD by Mark Hyman, M.D. that oatmeal places havoc on blood sugar by causing a massive insulin reaction followed by a crash in blood sugar level. That explains why most runs sucked. When you are massively hungry, then you tend to over eat at your next meal.

Dude, that is BS. Oatmeal is not a refined carb. It takes a long time to digest and there are no spikes as a result. Your issue most likely were the CRASINS. That's loaded with added sugars. 1/4 cup CRASINS have 29g of sugar (!). There is your issue ... that will make things spike at breakfast!
