Hooked pick tool to grab it and a nylon putty knife or interior trim wedge to pry against.
If you hook the ring just in from an end, you should be able to pull it straight out and use the nylon tool to protect your paint.
A small pancake flipper will work as a buffer as well. Just make sure you wash it or it ‘goes missing’ afterwards.
