There is a typical thread somewhere about the difference between men and women doing an oil change. Of course the woman goes to a lube place and is done in minutes for cheap. The man (all men are incompetent idiots) strips the drain plug and has to run to the store to get another. Then forgets to put it in and dumps more oil on the floor, puts in the plug and had to go to the store for more oil and paper towels, and oil dry, then back to the store for the oil filter. And after a full day and busted knuckles gets it done.

I have done over 100 oil changes on the Elky. Lots on the 911. A ton of them on my 914. I usually adjusted or at least checked the valves on my 914 each time just because it was so easy. There is NOTHING easy about a valve adjustment on a 911, except maybe screwing it up.

I have had a oil change place that was almost next door to my old job change the oil on my Elky a few times. I could watch them do it. My only complaint about them was they greased the grease fittings and dumped a lot of excess grease on the ball joints and suspension parts. It is just better to do it myself.
