I dont understand your question.

BMW part numbers are odd on left and even on right so that may help determine which mount goes on which side.

if im standing at the front of my vehicle and looking at the two towers the regular strut mount is in the center. now if i change over to the offset mounts its gonna move the strut off center. my question is do i want the top of the strut more towards the front and outside, or towards the front and inside, or towards the back and _______? does this help

What offset strut mounts do you have?

You want the tops to move toward the engine and very slightly rearward.
