I wasn't going to say anything, but 2nd gear could be just some coupler bushings and a driver who shifts it 1000rpm higher. This car might have been well bought if the gearbox doesn't actually need work.
The thing is I am skeptical about the mileage being real. That makes me think it likely does need a gearbox refresh and why I didn't say something previously.
