You might want to check Greyhound. I recently shipped a set of 911 seats Denver to Pittsburg (Terminal-to-Terminal) for about a third of what UPS wanted, and while dropping them off at the Denver terminal spotted what looked like they might have been fiberglas bumpers - heavily protected in bubblewrap.
