Sony A6300 body, 25 meg pixel. and a Sony $1200 70-300mm OSS optically stabilized lens on the APS-C sensor is equivalent to a 100-450mm zoom.
Tripod Pointed at Orions' Belt and several seconds of shutter speed........I got lucky.
I captured A FREAKIN' FRIGGEN' COOL SHOT OF AN EXPLODING METEOR.
4 second exposure, ISO 20000, F5.6
A tight Crop of the image, shows clearly as it entered the atmosphere and exploding, then the tumbling starts with it slowly breaking up in pulsing fashion.
here is 15 second exposure, ISO 6400 F4.5 The Orion Nebula is clearly visible as the smudge below the belt. google: M42 images.
