Just a fun little note.
I finally installed my 944Max chip this weekend. It has been sitting on a shelf in the garage for at least 4 years! Not even sure which version it is, maybe V4 or V5.

Anyway, just drove it this morning, and was immediately impressed.
The low/mid range is so much smoother. Third gear is now very usable in slower corners where I formerly needed to downshift into second for decent acceleration out of the corner.

The transition from no power under 4k to power over 4k is also smoother. I guess it just feels more drive-able and more modern.
My ears might be playing tricks on me, but it sounds meaner too....

Couldn't get too crazy since it is snowing (but not sticking) and I have my summer tires on.

I imagine it feels more like the ROW cars do.

Next will be the MAF and cam key when I change the cam belt.
