that's kind of where my mind is. this car cannot be built for anywhere near $50k. while this isn't my forever car, i have no intention of selling it in the foreseeable future, it's too damn fun.

i set my insurance value almost 3 years ago when i bought the car, and i've done a significant amount of work to it since then. that's why i'm considering raising the value on my policy to reflect that.

i also like to keep an eye on market values for my cars. they are not "investments" to me. but i am a pragmatist and i want to reasonably invested in the cars relative to their market value...
