[QUOTE=ckcarr;10572670]Looks like the Pirelli Angel comes in an ST and also a GT. GT being the more aggressive..

I had read some "rule" that if your bike tires are > 6 years old they should be replaced. Kind of like the helmet rule I guess...

Tires get hard with age. They can be quite slippery if they are too old. I have seen that with Metzelers I was using years ago.

I have had 4 sets of Pirelli Angel GT's on my 2004 R1100s. I love those tires on that bike. They are very planted. What I mean by that is the bike is very stable and solid whether you are riding in a straight line or cornering. They are not a quick handling tire. My R1100s is not quick handling anyway. That is one of the things I really like about the bike.

I have a 2014 Honda VFR 800 I bought in July. I had the dealer put new Pirelli Angel GT 2's on it before I picked it up. I would have to ride both bikes each with the different generation Angel GT's to see how each bike responded. The Honda handles much quicker than the BMW, but I do think the Angel GT 2's are a little quicker handling as well.

The Angel Gt's were a successor to the Pirelli Angel ST's
