The crank handles on top of the walls compress the sections together and lock them all tight. We have this system on our 10' overhead doors at our loading dock. The loading dock is actually below grade so we have three separate systems of these walls protecting it.
This is a picture of a exit stair that empties ou on the river side of the hospital. This one is about 8' tall. That's the river you see thru the door glass.
