Jeff - I had a dumb question about this episode - when installing your alternator, there does not appear to the diverter vanes on the back of the alternator for air flow. Maybe this is something later engines don't have (I think yours is a later engine) than my early 2.0 - but I thought I'd mention it in case it was originally missing or something. Called a hub extension 911-106-033. Maybe I just didn't see it when you were mounting the alternator.
