I replaced the ECU and it works fine now. Old ECU is on the tofix list, probably needs a simple $5 component swap. Check the sensors before you do anything if any are indicating a fault. The troubleshooting manual has more details.

Thanks!
My issue is that I have no error codes, yet the thing blinks / beeps with an alert and doesn't run. It goes through all key steps of the test program and if it gets hung up it is in the very last part of heated dry. It obviously fills, drains, splashes etc. and all related sensors must be okay, otherwise it couldn't do it. Maybe it is like a check engine light, where a sensor is out of range, but then again, why would it not log it as an error?
I am almost at my wits' end. Once I am done WORKING FROM HOME, I will spend time with it and a stop watch running the test program. There is duration in seconds listed with every step of the test program, maybe if I follow along I can see if the "finish" is see is actually hang up on one of the drying steps. Still not sure how that will give me guidance on what component to replace.
I could replace the control board just on a WAG, but it is 120 bucks which could be used against a new dishwasher ...
Thanks again,
G
