Welp, mowing is done. This is the weather I want all year, especially for mowing. Low to mid 70s nice calm breeze of 2 to 3 MPH and clear skies.
It always takes a while, mostly because of the master gardener that lives here and her plantings. Our back yard is not that big, and I have 7 objects from trees to a koi pond to mow around. None are square. OK, except for my storage building it is one object and it is a rectangle to edge and mow around.
The front yard has 6 flowerbeds or trees with rings to edge and mow around. The west side of the driveway used to be a yard to mow, but it was converted to flowerbed long ago. The east side of the house is the area we keep gated off as a dog run if we are keeping them out of the entire back yard. The grass part is only 40 inches wide, but it has a sidewalk all the way down the house. The entire house has concrete up against the house that we can walk on and be off of concrete. Of course it has to be edged. I have about a 1/4 mile of edging overall.
The front yard is split into two by the sidewalk to the front door. And there is a sidewalk along the street the width of the property.
There is one small area in the back yard that I can walk for 140 feet in a straight line at full speed, for one pass. After that, it is maneuvering around objects.
