I’m not sure what you think could be much better in a 992 vs the 991.2 - these cars are already well ahead of a “normal” person’s ability to extract performance that it would seem to render any improvement so slight as to be inconsequential.

If you are going to spend time on the track, I’d say go for the 992 because it will have a bit more power and some neat glass cockpit gauges to monitor engine vital signs.

Thanks for buying a manual. Porsche wisely chose to develop a “real” manual for the GT3 to satisfy the shrinking pool of drivers who still like to shift. I’m sure the resale values will be higher on real manual transmission cars since almost all newer sports cars are automatics of some sort...
