Stupidity raises it's ugly and pervasive head... I feel like an idiot. After about 14 hours of intensive labor, frustrating and cramped, after trying everything I could think of and PP experts had suggested, it dawned on me. Working with door open means latch is open. Bright light, aha moment! Rotate latch 90 degrees vertical into closed position and voila. Everything moves like it should. Window still needs slight forward adjustment as previously stated, but I will now install new $4 control rod and be done with this hateful mind altering problem. Thanks all! KISS!
