Hi - 69 is a great year. I don't know the answer but the guy who might is the "Early_S_Man" on the 911 BBS. Search the posts and you'll find him pretty quickly. Another fellow bought a 911 that came, he later learned, with a 930 engine. Warren (S Man) had the reference guide to state specifically which engine it was and what year it was produced.
Regardless, we can interchange 912 engines pretty easily, have to me more careful with transmissions, and 69 have different CV joints. The Maestro has in one of his quizzes (HCP Research) that flywheels that work with one 356/912 engine don't always work well with others. He might also be able to tell you about the engine.
