The first time, I took the online class, one of the "comedy online classes". You have 90 days or whatever to complete it, you can stop and restart whenever, seems like a no brainer, right?
Until it's 9 pm on day 89 and you're only 30% through because you got lazy about doing the no-brainer class...
Second time, I took in the in person class. 7 hours, includes lunch, a video or two and lots of sitting around taking about basic stuff. 7 hours FLEW by, and I was on my way. I will always taking in in person from now on.
For those out of state, for anything other than 95+ mph or gunfire, you can take one class a year (and pay a fee) and one deferred adjudication a year (the court ignores your case, and you pay a BIGGER fee) and not get anything on your record. So, you could get popped twice a year for speeding, and no one is the wiser, as long as you cough up the roughly $300ish each time.
