Love heated floors!
Neither of us liked the rain head showers. It just did not do it for us. Used a steam bath once, I did not like it.
Whatever you do think about putting in hand rails inside the shower, strategically placed and large enough (24 to 36 inches) so they can be easily grabbed. As we get older these start becoming more necessary. After recent surgery I have been exclusively using the bathroom we built specifically for wheelchair access. The handholds have been truly appreciated by family and by me most recently!
Oh, and just to make sure no one other than you likes your shower you can design a mural that you like and install that or have a tile person do it for you. Makes it personal, we enjoy it, but most people just do not like the idea of a mural in the shower. One of my buddies, single, did find a neat mermaid mural that he used. Actually, it looked pretty nice. He hated taking it out..... Ours is a tree.
