Dear Pelican Brain Trust,
I'm working on re-installing the original seats on my 89 3.2. I have a few questions:
1 - Where do the small "L" brackets go? I expect they are to limit the rearward travel. Which track do they go on? What orientation? These brackets can be seen in the picture below, lower left.
2 - What is the stack up of washers for the belt clip attachment to the seat? I have a Belview washer and what seems like a paper washer. Is there a recommended sequence? I'm guessing the Belview could go between flange and bolt head and a friction washer (paper or other?) would go between the flange and seat frame. What is recommended?
3 - How many different locations (front to back) are okay for installing the seat rails. I'm thinking I want the most leg room. Any hints on getting the rails lined up correctly are appreciated. E.g. set the rails on the bench to equal and slid to allow the rear bolts to be installed?
Thanks very much,
-Henry
