Still, I'm completely confused. What is the purpose of the extra HT wires? Output to what? What else could possibly need high voltage other than the spark plugs. There are easier and lower voltage methods to analyse the spark quality if that is what the purpose is. It looks awfully delicate to me for something meant to go on a race car (or any car really). Maybe I want to know too much and out of ignorance asking dumb questions. I'm not a racer. Fred

No, those are not fiber optic. I made the equivalent of 60kv spark plug wires with an OD of just 1/8". These are the output wires. And they are not shielded.
