I think it makes sense to not eat for a few hours before bed and I also like exercise before eating in the morning. But I would not sign up for a 16 hour fast every day and such. Not sustainable and can lead to eating disorders.
The best thing is to eat smaller portions and go easy processed foods and sugar.
