Only about 10% of the US was infected or about 34 mil. This matches up pretty well with my personnel observations that about 10% of my friends and co-workers have gotten covid.

191 mil have gotten at least 1 shot. So 225 mil have some form of protection against the virus leaving about 107 mil without protection.

There is a large part of the population who cannot build immunity to the virus even with the vaccine due to medical issues where the body just doesn't build enough antibodies.

So these 107 mil are not only risking their own health but also those people who are most at risk because their bodies can't fight it.

If there was this attitude about polio, we would have never gotten rid of polio.
