Many years ago, we had some paper wasps build a nest on a fence on the side of our house where we kept the garbage cans. They'd been there a while and had never really done anything aggressive. The "gate" to the back yard was 6' away, and was old and in rough shape. One day I stepped out with a bag of trash and one of the wasps was grumpy and stung my hand. I dropped the garbage and turned around and started running. I was focused on the latch to the door and had both hands out in front of me to flip it as I went through. At that speed, I was unable to flip the latch, and instead ran through the door. I did hit the ground, but then just laughed and laughed because the whole situation reminded me of one of these scenes



My mom told me a story of riding her old mower over/past a ground hornet nest. Apparently, she took off running while stripping out of her clothes. She lived in a very rural area on a lot that was completely surrounded by "woods".
