I thought:

Yes, I should merge all my posts into the 'Stupid People' thread but I love the show...

Wasps, bees, ground bees, any bees can make Chuck Norris head for the hills.

Ask me how I know.

When I was about 11, some friends and I decided to build a tree house in a big old pine on the hill at the back of the pasture. We managed to get up to the first branch about 8 feet up and Clem was starting to nail down a platform when every yellow jacket in the branch poured out to defend their home.
Initial advice of,"Stay still and they won't sting you!" turned out to be in error. It was just under a quarter mile to the river. We made it in record time. Clem was grateful for the mud, not so much for the advice.

Best

It might be easier to stay still facing a Grizzly bear. Those critters can keep stinging. I’m thinking a moving target might keep one from being a pin cushion.

Many years ago, we had some paper wasps build a nest on a fence on the side of our house where we kept the garbage cans. They'd been there a while and had never really done anything aggressive. The "gate" to the back yard was 6' away, and was old and in rough shape. One day I stepped out with a bag of trash and one of the wasps was grumpy and stung my hand. I dropped the garbage and turned around and started running. I was focused on the latch to the door and had both hands out in front of me to flip it as I went through. At that speed, I was unable to flip the latch, and instead ran through the door. I did hit the ground, but then just laughed and laughed because the whole situation reminded me of one of these scenes

My mom told me a story of riding her old mower over/past a ground hornet nest. Apparently, she took off running while stripping out of her clothes. She lived in a very rural area on a lot that was completely surrounded by "woods".
